"We had a great gluten free meal options with this restaurant. For our final night in Italy we had the requirement of good pasta and pizza for my wife to find from reviews in Venice and she came up with this restaurant Arrived during a rather warm evening after a 15 minute walk from our hotel. I was questioning my wife's restaurant choice as we walked past other restaurants with plenty of ppl happily eating, but in the end I am glad we did. To start we had Aperol Spritz which cooled us down some perusing the menu. By the end of the meal we had quite a few more spritzers as they were delicious! The staff were chatty and friendly suggested we go into the courtyard where there were fans. Table breads were provided (that had gluten) and enjoyed by the kids. 5⭐ Spaghetti Aglio Olio E Peperancio - perfectly cooked pasta with oil, garlic and chilli. This was gluten containing pasta and asked for extra chilli heat. It was perfect to make me sweat and enjoy the flavours. 5⭐ Spaghetti alla Bolognese - my son ate so much Bolognese pasta while travelling through Italy and said this was a delicious rich tomato flavour. Here all of our pastas were perfectly cooked as al dente 4.5⭐ Spaghetti alla Carbonara - my daughter's favourite pasta dish, and to be honest we struggled to get the best flavours besides in Roma. She said it was good at this restaurant with the silky creamy egg and cheese sauce providing the salty flavours. 4⭐ Gluten free Diavola pizza - a pizza with generous rich tomato sauce that overpowered some of the other flavours. Quite wet and due to the sauce richness too much for one person After dinner the staff bought us out complimentary limoncello which was a nice way to end our meal and time in Italy Tony Chen recommends"

"Wow!! Honestly the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had and it happened to be in Venice on my birthday !!! Then to top it off .. the sweet menu came and the waiter said .. ‘ we have gluten free tiramisu !!! One of my all time favourite that you never get a gf option anywhere !! Then.. just to add the icing on the cake .. as if out of a film .. a busker tuned up and played ‘just one cornetto’ on the accordion..it was absolutely fantastic moment and it’s a birthday I’ll remember forever !! A must for all the gluten free tribe !!"

"I came here after a local restaurant that I went to, Muro San Stae, did not have gluten free pizza available, and kindly suggested this restaurant, the waiter even walking outside and showing me directions how to get here. First of all, let me say that the staff at Ae Oche are very friendly and kind, but they’re not Italian, and the food and their decisions about ingredient choices reflects that. I feel like they’re not trying hard enough with the cuisine. The toppings combinations were less exciting than the other restaurant, which was offering regional and seasonal options, but I ordered a campagnolo pizza which has tomato, mozzarella, mushrooms, sausage and prosciutto cotto. The gluten free crust was very good. And the toppings were abundant. They brought me chili flakes and chili oil. While the sausage was tasty, the mushroom’s texture was like from a can, and the prosciutto cotto was just ok; I expected a higher quality. The pizza was good enough, but not great. Perhaps I should have got the spinach and ricotta one. If you’re not Italian, though, and you’re just looking for GF options, you’d probably be fine with it. I’m fussy. (If you don’t need gluten free, I’d try the other restaurant, a few minutes walk). This place also offer gluten free desserts including tiramisu and various flavors of panna cotta, which sounded tempting but I didn’t get any. It’s hard to find GF tiramisu most places, but it does have espresso in it, so I skipped it this evening."

"We arrived in Venice in the middle of a heavy rain, and this was the first restaurant we met. Stepping inside turned out to be the best decision we could have made! The interior is charming, the atmosphere is peaceful and beautiful, and the staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive. The service was world-class. Our waiter memorized our entire order (5 dishes and 3 drinks) without writing anything down. The food arrived very quickly. We were especially impressed by the timing: the moment we finished a course from the fixed menu, the waiter appeared (without us even calling) to clear the table and offer the next part of fixed menu. Despite the restaurant being busy, we felt like VIP guests because the staff was always available and genuinely cared about our experience. The food was wonderful. While we aren’t experts on Italian culinary traditions, everything tasted amazing, and the prices were very reasonable for such high quality. Highly recommended!"
